Duties
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support
- Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to track health status
- Administer medication following prescribed protocols and document all medication-related activities accurately
- Provide specialized care for residents with dementia or Alzheimer's disease, utilizing memory care techniques and behavior management strategies
- Support residents during meal preparation, feeding, and hydration to promote proper nutrition and hydration
- Operate manual handling equipment safely for resident transfers and ensure safe patient lifting practices at all times
- Engage residents in social activities and recreational programs to enhance mental stimulation and emotional well-being
- Maintain a clean, safe environment by performing light housekeeping duties including cleaning resident areas and common spaces

Skills
- Proven experience working in assisted living facilities or long-term care environments with seniors or individuals with disabilities
- Strong knowledge of assisting with ADLs, medication administration, and vital signs monitoring
- Expertise in dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, and behavior management techniques
- Ability to operate standard passenger cars safely for transportation needs when required
- Familiarity with home & community care practices, residential care homes, or group home settings
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with residents, families, and team members
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting safely and assist with manual handling tasks as needed
- CPR and First Aid certification to respond promptly during emergencies
- Experience working with individuals who have developmental disabilities or cognitive impairments is highly valued
