The Robin's Nest Restaurant and Catering is seeking a Full-time Chef to join our team immediately! We are a busy, independently owned full-service restaurant, bar and thriving catering business - which means you will never get bored, and your skills will truly shine.
- The position will be for 40+ hours a week, Wednesday-Sunday. You must be available to work on weekends and some holidays
Qualifications:
- Must have 2+ years of experience in a professional kitchen
- Be able to "work the line". Have proven experience on a busy, full-service hot line
- Proficiency in grilling, sautéing and egg preparation
- A passion for developing creative dishes
- Strong leadership qualities
- Have the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment; stay calm, focused, and solution-oriented when the pace picks up
- Able to multitask
- Positive attitude and dependability
Responsibilities:
- Supervise day-to-day culinary operations
- Execute lunch, dinner & brunch entrees in a high volume environment
- Oversee ordering & inventory
- Maintain a clean, safe kitchen that meets NJ health & food safety standards
- Check freshness and quality of ingredients
- Work with management to create a memorable experience for diners
Salary & Benefits:
- Annual salary starting at $49,920
- One week paid vacation to coincide with the restaurant closing in July
