We are an early-stage SaaS company solving one of real estate development’s most persistent and costly pain points: the change order. For owner/developers, change orders represent a constant source of budget risk, schedule slippage, and contract disputes — with verification and approval processes that still rely heavily on email, spreadsheets, and manual coordination.
Our platform gives owner/developers a structured, audit-ready system to verify, track, and approve change orders across their projects — reducing exposure, accelerating decisions, and creating a defensible record at every stage. Our MVP is in final development, our pricing model is established, and we are building the commercial team to bring the product to market. We are seeking a founding CEO to lead that charge.
The Opportunity
This role is built for a hands-on CEO who can lead from launch to scale. The product is market-ready, the pricing model is in place, and the core team is onboard. Your job is to direct that team, own the revenue number, and drive the company forward from early revenue.
The founding team remains actively engaged: the founder leads investor relationships and product strategy, and a fractional CTO anchors the technical roadmap. This role is squarely focused on commercial execution, team leadership, and operational scale. At seed stage, the CEO also carries CFO and COO responsibilities — managing finances, burn, and operational infrastructure — until dedicated hires are warranted.
What You’ll Do
Commercial Leadership & Team Management
- Directly manage and provide day-to-day direction to the Account Executives and Marketing Manager, until a director of sales is warranted and onboarded
- Set revenue targets, activity metrics, and accountability structures for the commercial team
- Coach the AE through the full sales cycle — from prospecting owner/developer accounts to close
- Direct the marketing function: positioning, content, demand generation, and brand presence in the owner/developer segment
- Build repeatable sales and marketing playbooks as the team scales
Revenue & Go-to-Market
- Own and drive the GTM strategy targeting owner/developers — developers, family offices, REITs, and institutional project owners
- Lead the commercial launch alongside the existing team, converting early design partners into paying customers
- Leverage the established pricing model to build a scalable, repeatable sales motion
- Identify and pursue channel partnerships, industry associations, and referral networks within the owner/developer community
Investor Relations & Fundraising Support
- Partner closely with the founder on Series A preparation — provide commercial traction, pipeline metrics, and go-to-market narrative
- Manage investor updates, board reporting, and financial communications
- Support due diligence processes and relationship-building with prospective investors
Product & Customer Collaboration
- Serve as the voice of the customer — translate owner/developer feedback into actionable product priorities
- Collaborate with the fractional CTO and product team to align the roadmap with near-term commercial needs
- Maintain tight feedback loops between early customers and the development team through and after MVP launch
Finance & Operations (CFO/COO duties at seed stage)
- Manage company finances: budget, burn rate, cash runway, and capital allocation
- Oversee financial infrastructure — accounting, payroll, expense management, and forecasting
- Build operating processes and documentation to support the next stage of growth
- Ensure legal, compliance, and vendor/contract foundations are in place
What We’re Looking For
Required
- 5+ years of operating experience in B2B SaaS — ideally in a founder, GM, COO, or VP-level role with direct revenue responsibility
- Proven ability to manage, coach, and hold accountable a commercial team (sales and/or marketing)
- Track record in early-stage environments: commercial launches, 0-to-1 GTM execution, or seed-to-Series A transitions
- Deep familiarity with the owner/developer segment — real estate developers, project owners, family offices, or institutional capital in the built environment
- Financial acumen: budgeting, burn management, financial modeling, and investor reporting
- Collaborative working style — able to operate effectively alongside a hands-on founder
Preferred
- Prior CEO, COO, or President experience at a SaaS, PropTech, or ConTech company
- Experience directing both sales and marketing functions simultaneously in a resource-constrained environment
- Existing network of C-suite candidates and critical hires
- Existing network among owner/developers, development managers, ownership groups, or real estate investment firms
- Familiarity with construction project management from the owner’s perspective: change orders, budget contingency, draw schedules, and project controls
- Experience supporting or co-leading venture fundraising processes (Seed through Series A/B)
