Community Clinical Assistant (FT)
Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and collaborative Community Clinical Assistant to join our multi-disciplinary Clinical Team. In this role, you will work closely under the supervision of the Clinical Coordinator to support the clinical department, help implement trauma-informed best practices, and play an active role in coordinating and executing off-ground visits and transportation for our students.

Key Responsibilities:
- Clinical Collaboration: Partner with clinicians across all milieus to support student progress as an active member of the multi-disciplinary clinical team.
- Coordination & Logistics: Coordinate and schedule home visits and off-campus trips. Organize weekend visit lists and maintain detailed transportation logs.
- Transportation & Community Supervision: Safely transport and supervise students/residents during off-ground visits, Foster Care Reviews, court dates, probation meetings, and other non-medical appointments.
- Documentation & Reporting: Attend weekly residential, clinical, school, and behavioral meetings to document meeting minutes. Complete weekly/monthly clinical notes, behavioral plans, and specialized documentation (such as YRA, CANS, and Additional Service Hours).
- Family & Community Liaison: Support clinicians in making calls to families, handling external agency communication, and reporting therapeutic holds (Family Net) when necessary.
- Direct Student Support: Complete weekly check-ins with assigned students and co-facilitate Social Skills groups alongside a clinician as needed.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Education: Associate or Bachelor’s degree in a mental health or related human services field preferred.
- Experience: Previous experience working in a mental health or residential treatment setting is highly valued.
- Licensing: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (required for student transportation).
- Skills: Strong computer literacy with experience drafting forms, scheduling, and managing professional email correspondence.
- Certifications: Willingness to obtain or maintain certifications in CPR, First Aid, and Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI)—training will be supported/provided.
Core Competencies:
- Ability to function as a healthy, therapeutic role model for our student population.
- Proficiency in verbal and physical crisis intervention techniques.
- Strong understanding of trauma-informed care, behavior management, and safety policies.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to maintain highly positive, professional relationships with internal staff and external agency partners.
- Exceptional organizational skills with a proven track record of completing detailed paperwork and documentation in a timely manner.
Work Environment & Schedule:
- Schedule: Primarily Monday through Friday, operating in a professional office and residential campus environment.
- Flexibility: Requires flexibility to work occasional weekends to accommodate student transport and off-campus visits.
