Safety Inspector
Location: Gardena, CA
Pay: $20.00 per hour
Shift: 1st Shift | Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Safety Inspector to join our Quality team in Gardena, CA. The Safety Inspector will be responsible for promoting and maintaining a safe work environment by ensuring compliance with company safety policies, OSHA and Cal/OSHA regulations, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). This position works closely with department leaders to conduct safety inspections, identify potential hazards, implement corrective actions, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain Health & Safety programs.
- Conduct routine safety inspections and PPE assessments throughout the facility.
- Prepare daily and weekly safety inspection reports.
- Maintain accurate safety records, documentation, and data entry.
- Issue, monitor, and close safety-related work orders.
- Identify safety concerns and recommend corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs).
- Keep compliance boards updated with required permits, licenses, and safety documentation.
- Assist during internal and external safety inspections and audits.
- Work closely with department managers to promote a safe work environment.
- Report safety concerns and compliance issues to management.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to workplace safety.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Safety, Occupational Health, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in health and safety or a related role.
- Knowledge of OSHA, Cal/OSHA, and workplace safety regulations.
- Experience working in a GMP manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Knowledge of Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures is a plus.
- Strong organizational, observation, and communication skills.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Adobe.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a MUST
- First Aid and CPR certification is a plus.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk throughout the workday.
- Ability to climb stairs, bend, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, temperature changes, and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.
- Ability to travel locally between company locations as needed.
