Overview
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Inventory Control Clerk to join our dynamic logistics team. Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and ERP systems such as AS400 or similar platforms.
- Conduct regular cycle counts, physical inventories, and audits to verify stock accuracy and identify discrepancies.
- Coordinate with procurement and sourcing teams to facilitate timely order fulfillment, purchasing, and demand planning activities.
- Manage shipping & receiving operations, including order picking, packing, freight management, and dispatching to ensure efficient transportation planning.
- Oversee materials handling, packaging, and category management to optimize warehouse space and materials flow.
- Ensure compliance with transportation safety regulations, international trade regulations, and regulatory standards related to warehouse operations.
- Utilize data analysis skills to generate reports on inventory trends, supply chain analytics, and process improvement opportunities.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in supply chain management, logistics management, or warehouse experience within a logistics company environment.
- Strong technical proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), ERP systems like AS400 or equivalent, CMMS software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of transportation management systems (TMS), freight logistics, shipping logistics, NVOCC (Non-Vessel Operating Common Carrier), and fleet management.
- Ability to operate forklift equipment safely following transportation safety regulations.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail for inventory control and materials handling tasks.
- Effective team management skills with the ability to coordinate dispatching, order fulfillment, and warehouse operations efficiently.
- Familiarity with international trade regulations, e-commerce logistics, packaging standards, and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Strong analytical skills for data analysis related to supply chain analytics and demand planning.
