Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Production Assembler to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling precision optical and mechanical components, interpreting technical drawings, and ensuring quality standards are met throughout the production process. Your expertise will contribute to delivering innovative light measurement solutions that meet our high standards of excellence.
Duties
- Assemble optical, mechanical, and electronic components using hand tools, power tools, and specialized industrial equipment
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, fabrication drawings, and production documents to ensure accurate assembly
- Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and dial indicators to verify component dimensions and tolerances
- Operate pneumatic tools, soldering equipment, welding apparatus, and machining tools as needed for fabrication tasks
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to personal protective equipment (PPE) protocols and safety procedures
- Conduct quality inspections throughout assembly stages to identify defects or inconsistencies
- Assist in warehouse activities including material handling, inventory management, and forklift operation when necessary
Requirements
- Proven experience with mechanical assembly or manufacturing processes in an industrial setting
- Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, schematic interpretation, and technical drawing comprehension
- Skilled in using measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and other precision tools
- Familiarity with shop math and basic fabrication techniques including welding and soldering
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, pneumatic tools, and specialized industrial equipment safely
- Mechanical knowledge complemented by experience with assembly of complex components or systems
- Warehouse experience including forklift operation is a plus
- Excellent manual handling skills with attention to detail for precision work
- Ability to interpret technical documents accurately and follow detailed instructions effectively
