Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Statistical Analyst to join our engineering team. In this role, you will lead the company statistical analysis program for multiple Coal Combustion Residuals (CCR) sites across the United States (currently, TX, IL, OH, and PA) in compliance with the US EPA’s Coal Combustion Residuals regulations and state specific regulations (currently TX, IL, OH). This individual must be able to evaluate groundwater data from multiple sampling events at each site to define background data and establish the required Groundwater Protection Standards (i.e., Background Threshold Values and local Groundwater Protection Standards). Experience in the use of ChemPoint/ChemStat software, EnvStats (using R Studio) and Excel programs to do quarterly, semi-annual, and/or annual you will harness the power of advanced statistical methods, machine learning frameworks, and big data systems to uncover insights that drive strategic decision-making. Your expertise in statistical modeling, AI implementation, and data mining will be instrumental in developing predictive models, evaluating AI models, and deploying scalable solutions across cloud environments. Responsibilities
- Create and develop Statistical data analysis Plans
- Evaluate ground water data from multiple sampling site
- Conduct model training, evaluation, and deployment processes ensuring robustness and scalability across diverse platforms.
- Data extraction, transformation, and loading from various SQL databases and big data sources
- Apply statistical analysis tools to support research initiatives, perform data mining tasks, and enhance predictive modeling analysis
Experience
- Experience working with data systems such as Chempoint and StarPoint Software or similar
- Strong proficiency in Enstats using R Studio
- Familiarity with US EPA's Unified Guidance Document, 2009 for Statistical Analysis of Groundwater Monitoring at RCRA Facilities
- Familiarity with machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or similar libraries for model training and evaluation.
- Experience in conducting outlier analysis and determining the value is acceptable and handling of non-detection results
- Strong analytical skills combined with the ability to determine distribution types including modification of the data set to a parametric distribution.
- Proficient in SQL and Access Database Systems and state Regulatory knowledge for CCR programs in Tx, IL and OH
