Job Description:
The Dietetic clerk organizes the patient's menus to ensure accuracy of diet order, timeliness of meal service, and smooth foodservice operations. Responsible for the correcting patient tray menus, nourishment labels, and production tallies for patient menus. Answer phones and monitors computer for requests and changes. Checks patient tray line, interacts with patients to collect menus and help fill out as needed. Inventories the patient's floor kitchens and generates a list of needed items. Needs to work independently and in a fast-paced environment. Helps in other roles as needed. Good customer service and communication skills. Knowledge of healthcare and diets is a plus but not required.
Health screening required. Prior food service and/or customer service experience preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus, with or without corrective lenses.
- Significant walking or other means of mobility.
- Ability to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours).
- Ability to reach, bend, stoop, push and/or pull, and frequently lift up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift/move 40 pounds.
