Role: Child Nutrition Worker I
Organization: 909 - Child Nutrition Department
Primary Purpose:
Work under moderate supervision to prepare and serve appropriate quantities of food to meet menu requirements. Maintain high standards of quality in food production, sanitation, and safety practices.
Education/Certification:
High School Diploma or GED equivalency, or five (5) years work experience for the job applied
Possess a valid Food Handler's Card or be willing to possess one within 30 days of hire
Responsibilities:
Ability to understand food preparation and safety instructions
Working knowledge of kitchen equipment and food production procedures
Ability to operate large and small kitchen equipment and tools
Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations
Flexibility to adapt to change
Respond to problem solving techniques in a positive manner
Must have the ability to understand, read, and speak English
Experience:
None. One (1) year of kitchen experience preferred
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $17.50 per hour
