Boys & Girls Club of Southeast Idaho is looking for energetic, dependable, and positive individuals to join our team as Youth Development Professionals (YDPs). This is a great opportunity for college students, future teachers, education majors, social work majors, or anyone looking to gain experience working with youth.
Our after-school programs operate Monday through Friday from school dismissal until 6:00 PM, making this position especially convenient for individuals looking for part-time afternoon hours.

What You'll Do
As a Youth Development Professional, you will help create a safe, positive, structured, and fun environment for Club members.
Responsibilities may include:
- Supervise youth during after-school programming.
- Lead games, activities, sports, art projects, STEM activities, and other programs.
- Build positive and appropriate relationships with Club members.
- Encourage participation, teamwork, respect, and good decision-making.
- Help youth work through conflicts and everyday challenges.
- Maintain clear expectations and Club rules.
- Assist with transitions between activities, snack, homework time, recreation, and other parts of the daily schedule.
- Help maintain clean, organized, and safe program spaces.
- Communicate and work effectively with other staff and site leadership.
- Act as a positive role model for youth.
- Follow all Boys & Girls Club policies and safety procedures.
- Assist with other program needs as assigned.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Dependable and punctual.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Comfortable working with children and groups of youth.
- Able to communicate effectively with youth, coworkers, and supervisors.
- Able to work as part of a team.
- Willing to learn youth-management and conflict-resolution strategies.
- Responsible and safety-minded.
- Previous experience working with youth is helpful but not required.
