Westaff is Hiring for 2nd Shift Ribboning Line Associates in Meriden, CT!
Schedule: 3:30 PM – Midnight (OT available when scheduled in advance)
Pay: $18.00 an hour
Position Overview
The ribboning line receives bagged product from the machine. Associates sit along the conveyor belt, hand‑tie ribbons onto cello bags, and place the finished bags back onto the belt. Bags typically weigh 8 oz, with some up to 12–16 oz.
Key Responsibilities
- Sit at the conveyor line and hand‑tie ribbons onto cello bags
- Maintain consistent pace with product flow
- Handle lightweight product (8–16 oz bags)
- Follow training and quality standards
- Support team goals and maintain a clean work area
Required Skills & Attributes
- Strong eye‑hand coordination
- Ability to tie ribbons or learn quickly
- Comfort sitting for an 8‑hour shift with standard breaks
- Good dexterity; smaller hands often work well for this task
- Ability to work under bright production lighting
- Reliable attendance and willingness to work scheduled overtime
