Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of beverages including cocktails, wine, beer, and non-alcoholic options with precision and flair.
- Engage with guests to understand their preferences and recommend drinks or food pairings to enhance their experience.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, ensuring compliance with food safety standards and sanitation protocols.
- Manage POS (Point of Sale) systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for accurate order processing and cash handling.
- Develop new beverage recipes and refine existing ones to keep the menu fresh and exciting.
- Monitor inventory levels of alcohol, mixers, garnishes, and supplies; restock as needed to ensure smooth operations.
- Collaborate with the bar management team to uphold service standards, manage busy periods efficiently, and support catering or banquet events when required.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a bartender in fine dining or high-volume settings; cocktail experience is essential.
- Strong knowledge of wine varieties, craft beer styles, brewing processes, and beverage recipe development.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS; basic math skills for cash handling and retail math are necessary.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly while managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Knowledge of food safety practices, food handling procedures, and proper alcohol serving protocols.
- Ability to manage time effectively during busy shifts using strong time management skills.
- Previous experience in bar management or catering is a plus; familiarity with banquet service is advantageous.
