Blue Lakes Charters & Tours is looking for a motivated, dependable, and detail-oriented Entry Level Mechanic who is eager to learn the trade and build a long-term career. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with some mechanical experience who wants to continue developing their skills while working alongside experienced technicians. Responsibilities
- Perform light maintenance and repair tasks, including:
- Bus interior repairs
- Windshield wiper replacement
- Interior and exterior light repairs
- Tire repairs, mounting, balancing, and replacements
- Minor mechanical repairs
- Assist senior mechanics with the diagnosis and repair of engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, steering, and other vehicle systems.
- Perform preventative maintenance, including fluid checks, filter changes, and inspections.
- Inspect tires for wear, damage, and proper inflation.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Accurately document repairs and maintenance performed on vehicles.
- Follow all company safety procedures and shop policies.
- Work effectively as part of a team to keep our fleet operating safely and reliably.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Some mechanical experience is preferred.
- Basic understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently when needed.
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Must provide your own basic hand tools.
- Valid driver's license preferred.
