STLCRE is a growing commercial real estate company focused on the ownership, management, and maintenance of office, retail, multifamily, and mixed-use properties throughout the St. Louis area. We are seeking an experienced HVAC & Chiller Technician to join our in-house maintenance team and help maintain critical building systems across our commercial portfolio, including high-rise properties.
Position Summary
The HVAC & Chiller Technician will be responsible for the operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of commercial HVAC equipment and central plant systems. The ideal candidate will have experience working with chillers, cooling towers, boilers, air handling units, pumps, VAV systems, and building automation controls in commercial and high-rise environments.

Responsibilities
- Inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair commercial HVAC systems and equipment.
- Perform preventive maintenance on chillers, cooling towers, boilers, pumps, air handlers, rooftop units, and associated mechanical systems.
- Diagnose electrical, mechanical, and control-related HVAC issues.
- Monitor and maintain building automation and energy management systems.
- Respond to service calls and emergency maintenance requests as needed.
- Perform routine inspections to ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently.
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs, service records, and repair documentation.
- Coordinate with property management and maintenance staff to minimize tenant disruptions.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, building codes, and company policies.
- Assist with capital improvement projects and equipment replacements.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of commercial HVAC experience preferred.
- Experience servicing chillers and central plant equipment strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of HVAC controls, electrical systems, refrigeration cycles, and mechanical equipment.
- Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
- EPA Certification preferred.
- HVAC certification, trade school education, or equivalent field experience preferred.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and work in mechanical rooms, rooftops, and other building environments.

Work Location
This is an in-person position based in St. Louis, Missouri. Candidates must be able to reliably commute to the St. Louis area or relocate prior to employment.
