Job description:
The Registered Nurse (RN) ER/ICU is responsible for providing high-quality, patient-centered nursing care to critically ill, injured, and emergency patients. The RN assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates patient care while collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams. The role requires expertise in emergency medicine, critical care, life-saving interventions, and advanced monitoring techniques.
Main Responsibilities:
- Assess, triage, and prioritize patient care based on acuity levels.
- Provide emergency nursing care for trauma, medical, surgical, and pediatric cases.
- Administer medications, IV therapy, blood products, and emergency treatments.
- Perform and assist with life-saving procedures during emergencies.
- Monitor patient status and respond rapidly to changes in condition.
- Collaborate with emergency physicians, specialists, and ancillary staff.
- Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation.
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and discharge instructions.
- Provide comprehensive care to critically ill and mechanically ventilated patients.
- Monitor hemodynamic parameters and interpret cardiac rhythms.
- Manage ventilators, infusion pumps, and advanced life-support equipment.
- Administer critical care medications, including vasoactive drips and sedation.
- Perform patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
- Assist with invasive procedures such as central line insertion, intubation, and arterial line placement.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
- Ensure infection control and patient safety standards are maintained.
Pay: $2,614.00 per week
