Now Hiring: Project Superintendent
B&T Fencing is seeking an experienced, motivated, and safety-focused Project Superintendent to oversee field operations for a large project in Montgomery, AL.
This position is project-based, with work expected to continue for the foreseeable future. At the completion of the Montgomery assignment, the successful candidate may have the opportunity to transfer to our permanent Foley, AL location, where we maintain a consistent pipeline of work.

As Project Superintendent, you will play a key role in the successful execution of the Montgomery project. You will be responsible for coordinating field crews, maintaining jobsite safety and quality standards, communicating with project stakeholders, and ensuring work is completed efficiently and according to project requirements.

What You’ll Do
The Project Superintendent will oversee daily field operations and serve as the primary onsite leader for the project.
Field Operations and Project Execution
- Direct and coordinate daily jobsite activities
- Supervise field crews, subcontractors, deliveries, and equipment
- Review project plans, specifications, schedules, and scope requirements
- Monitor production and ensure work remains on schedule
- Maintain accurate daily reports, manpower records, progress updates, and jobsite documentation
Safety and Compliance
- Promote and enforce all company and project-specific safety requirements
- Conduct daily safety meetings, toolbox talks, and job hazard assessments
- Ensure crews use required personal protective equipment
- Ensure compliance with OSHA standards, site rules, and project-specific procedures
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional jobsite
Quality Control
- Ensure work is completed according to plans, specifications, approved submittals, and company standards
- Inspect completed work and correct deficiencies promptly
- Verify measurements, layouts, elevations, and installation details before work proceeds
- Coordinate material inspections and confirm materials meet project requirements
- Track punch-list items and ensure timely completion
Communication and Coordination
- Serve as the primary onsite point of contact for field-related matters
- Communicate daily with the project manager regarding progress, staffing, materials, and potential issues
- Attend project meetings, coordination meetings, and safety meetings as required
- Maintain professional communication with customers, general contractors, inspectors, subcontractors, and vendors
- Support scheduling, change-order documentation, and project closeout activities
What We’re Looking For
- At least 3–5 years of construction superintendent, foreman, or field leadership experience
- Commercial or industrial construction experience preferred
- Experience managing crews, subcontractors, schedules, and daily field operations
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and project documents
- Strong understanding of jobsite safety requirements and OSHA standards
- Strong documentation and reporting skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with project managers, customers, and field personnel
- Fence, gate, or sitework experience is preferred but not required
- OSHA 30 certification preferred
- First Aid/CPR certification preferred
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record required
Location and Project Duration
- Primary project location: Montgomery, AL
- Position is project-based and expected to continue for the foreseeable future
- Opportunity may be available to transfer to our permanent Foley, AL location after the Montgomery project
- Travel or relocation to Montgomery may be required
