Become an Online Tutor with Eddu-Me
Eddu-Me is accepting applications from knowledgeable tutors who want to provide personalized online instruction to students. This independent-contractor opportunity allows tutors to establish their availability, set their lesson rates and teach remotely.
Students use Eddu-Me to receive one-to-one support that reflects their academic level and individual goals. Tutors are expected to explain subject content clearly while creating an environment in which students feel comfortable asking questions and developing confidence.
Eddu-Me is currently accepting applications in the following subjects:
- Mathematics
- English
- Science
- History
- Geography
- Computer Science
Tutors may support elementary, middle or high school students according to their experience and subject knowledge.
Responsibilities
- Conduct scheduled one-to-one lessons through Eddu-Me’s online classroom.
- Personalize instruction according to each student’s level and learning goals.
- Explain academic concepts accurately using appropriate examples.
- Help students strengthen their understanding of assigned subjects.
- Provide useful feedback and recommend appropriate next steps.
- Prepare learning materials or practice activities when needed.
- Maintain accurate availability and attend accepted lessons on time.
- Communicate professionally with students, families and Eddu-Me representatives.
- Follow Eddu-Me’s platform policies and professional standards.
Required qualifications
- Strong knowledge of at least one subject offered through Eddu-Me.
- Ability to explain concepts in a way students can understand.
- Professional written and verbal communication skills.
- Patient and supportive approach to working with students.
- Reliable computer or laptop.
- Stable high-speed internet connection.
- Functional webcam and clear microphone.
- Quiet, well-lit setting suitable for online instruction.
- Ability to complete the required profile and verification process accurately.
Preferred qualifications
- Previous teaching or tutoring experience.
- Relevant degree, certification or professional qualification.
- Experience working with school-age students.
- Familiarity with online instruction.
- Experience supporting students with examinations or coursework.
