Delivery Driver — Full-Time
Location: Northwest Arkansas (Benton & Washington County routes; occasional statewide runs)
Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday, daytime routes; occasional early starts on delivery days
Pay: $17–$21 per hour, depending on experience
Vehicle: Company van / box truck under 26,000 lbs GVWR — no CDL required
ABOUT THE ROLE
Artisan Fine Wine Distributors is a licensed Arkansas wholesale wine distributor serving retail stores, restaurants, and bars across Northwest Arkansas. We represent small, artisan producers — the wines in the truck have stories, and our accounts expect us to know them. As our Delivery Driver, you are the face of the company at every account. You will run daily routes, deliver wine accurately and on time, and build the kind of relationships with account staff that keep customers ordering. If you find wine interesting, this job will feed that — you will learn the portfolio, taste what we sell, and talk about it with the people who sell it.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Load the truck each morning against the route manifest and verify counts before departure
- Deliver wine to retail and on-premise accounts on an assigned route, on schedule
- Obtain signed invoices / proof of delivery and collect payments or checks where required
- Rotate and stock product at accounts when requested; handle returns and breakage paperwork
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections; keep the vehicle clean, fueled, and maintained
- Protect product integrity — wine is heat-sensitive; follow loading and transit handling standards
- Communicate delivery exceptions (closed accounts, shortages, refusals) same-day
- Help in the warehouse with picking and staging when not on route
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- 21 years of age or older (required by Arkansas law to deliver alcoholic beverages to licensed accounts)
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (MVR check for the past 3 years)
- DOT medical card, or ability to obtain one, if assigned a vehicle over 10,000 lbs GVWR
- Able to repeatedly lift and carry 45–50 lb cases and maneuver hand trucks and pallet jacks
- Reliable, punctual, and comfortable representing the company with account owners and staff
- Comfortable using a smartphone for routing, delivery confirmation, and communication
- Able to pass a background check consistent with Arkansas ABC requirements
- A real interest in wine — no certifications or expertise needed, but you should be curious about what is in the cases you deliver and want to learn the portfolio
- Delivery, route sales, or beverage distribution experience is a plus
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORK ENVIRONMENT
This is a physical job: frequent lifting of cases up to 50 lbs, bending, climbing in and out of the vehicle, and working in non-climate-controlled environments (loading docks, stockrooms) in all seasons.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
- $17–$21/hour based on experience, paid weekly or bi-weekly
- Full-time hours (approximately 40/week) with overtime as routes require
