Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and specialty drinks with precision and flair.
- Greet customers warmly, taking orders accurately and efficiently using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS.
- Handle retail sales transactions, including cash handling, credit card processing, and POS operations with confidence.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food preparation stations, seating areas, and equipment.
- Ensure food safety standards are met by following proper food handling, serving procedures, and health regulations.
- Assist in food preparation tasks as needed, supporting the team to deliver quality products promptly.
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers quickly while maintaining high service standards.
- Support inventory management by restocking supplies and monitoring product freshness.
Experience
- Prior barista experience in a café or food service environment is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS enhances efficiency in transaction processing.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques.
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and order accuracy.
- Experience in retail sales transactions, cashiering, or food industry roles demonstrates readiness for this position.
- Excellent time management skills to balance multiple tasks during peak hours while maintaining quality service.
