Part-Time Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant (PA/NP)

Location: Hybrid, onsite location at Figtree Family in Newburyport
Schedule: ~25 hours/week
Compensation: $75–$85/hour (~$100K–$115K annually equivalent) based upon experience

About The Practice (Direct Primary Care Model)
We are a Direct Primary Care (DPC) practice, a modern, membership-based approach to medicine that removes insurance barriers and puts the patient–provider relationship back at the center of care.
Instead of rushed visits and administrative burden, our model allows for:
- Longer, meaningful appointments
- Direct access via text, phone, and same-day visits
- High-touch, personalized care for a smaller patient panel
You’ll be joining a practice where care is collaborative, proactive, and deeply relational—not transactional.
The Role
We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to act as a true clinical partner and extension of Dr. Risa Schulman, helping deliver seamless, accessible care to our membership community.
This is not a traditional role—you’ll be embedded in a continuity-based, high-access care model where responsiveness and connection matter just as much as clinical skill.
What You’ll Do
- Provide same-day / acute / sick visits (including pediatrics as needed)
- Manage direct patient communication (text, calls, follow-up questions)
- Review labs, communicate results, and coordinate care
- Renew prescriptions and manage ongoing treatment plans
- Perform basic in-office testing (e.g., strep tests, simple procedures)
- Triage patient needs and collaborate With Dr. Schulman on care decisions
- Order labs and support continuity of care planning
- Assist with physicals and preventive care visits
- Help build and expand membership-based programs and offerings
Tentative Schedule – to be discussed for the right candidate fit
- M/W/F: ~9/10 AM – 3/4 PM
- T/Th: 12 PM – 5 PM
- Remote availability
- Flexibility for occasional coverage (vacations, etc.)
