Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately.
- Conduct repairs on mechanical systems including engines, transmissions, suspensions, brakes, shocks & struts, and powertrain components.
- Execute routine maintenance.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other mechanical tools to complete repairs efficiently.
- Interpret technical manuals and schematics to troubleshoot complex automotive electrical systems.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working in the automotive repair industry with a strong background in dealership or independent shop environments.
- Extensive knowledge of automotive mechanical systems including transmissions, powertrains, suspension systems, brakes, and electrical components.
- Hands-on experience with diesel engine repair is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with automotive diagnostics software and schematics for accurate troubleshooting.
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other mechanical repair tools safely and effectively.
- Strong mechanical knowledge complemented by excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
