Executive Director (Part-Time)
New Ulm Area Foundation, Inc. (NUAF) is seeking a part-time Executive Director to support and advance its mission. This flexible, in-office position averages 20–30 hours per week. Compensation based on experience; no benefits are included.

NUAF supports the community by providing grants to qualified 501(c)(3) organizations whose work aligns with our four grantmaking pillars: Arts, Education, Historic Preservation, and Community Enhancement.
Position Overview
The Executive Director is responsible for the overall administration and coordination of the Foundation’s operations. This role works closely with the Board of Directors, committees, donors, and community partners to advance NUAF’s mission and ensure effective stewardship of resources.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide general office administration and organizational support
- Lead fundraising and development efforts, including donor cultivation and solicitation, and stewardship
- Manage donor relations and community engagement
- Work closely with the Board of Directors and Board committees
- Coordinate communications, including a semi-annual newsletter, press releases, and presentations
- Facilitate administrative processes related to grantmaking, including application support, tracking, and reporting
- Serve as a visible and collaborative representative of the Foundation in the community
- Maintain accurate financial records by entering, categorizing, and reconciling transactions in QuickBooks on a regular basis
· Provide financial oversight, including budgeting, investment coordination, and grant allocation determination.
Qualifications
- Experience in nonprofit administration, fundraising, development, or a related field preferred
- Strong organizational, communication, and relationship-building skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with volunteers and board members
- Passion for community impact and alignment with NUAF’s mission and values
