Needed: Paraprofessional Coaches
Full-time and part-time positions available at Vocational and Adult Services, an adult program with The Institute for Effective Education (TIEE). TIEE is a non-profit organization that operates 6 private schools and an adult program in the San Diego Area. We are currently seeking paraprofessional coaches to support adults with disabilities in providing targeted interventions that maximize skill development in vocational, academic, and functional living areas, including leisure activities in our Social Recreation Program. We are dedicated to providing our enrollees with customized services that are tailored to meet the needs and goals of the individual. We use a person-centered approach along with scientifically-validated instructional methods and curricula. We provide extensive training, direct coaching and support to sharpen the talents of our staff members and to better serve our enrollees and our mission.
We provide a supportive and positive learning environment for both our enrollees and staff members and we are looking for energetic people that bring the same mentality, a strong team-player approach, and are ready to learn.
We provide individualized support to enrollees at various locations throughout San Diego County (e.g., worksites, colleges, social events). Coaches either meet the enrollee at different sites or transport them in a company vehicle. Therefore, driving in the community is essential.
For those interested in pursuing a career in the field, we offer tuition support as well as opportunities for completing internships. We also offer supervision hours for those aiming to become Certified Rehabilitation Counselors (CRC) and/or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselors (LPCC).
Starting wage is $20.00 -$22.75 depending on education and related experience.
