JOB The Ted Lechner Youth Services Center provides pre-trial detention for youth who have been incarcerated in a restrictive housing environment, separated by temporary housing for youth in a non-restrictive shelter care environment. Performs routine supervisory work in the safekeeping of youth who have been placed in a secure detention and shelter care by enforcing rules, maintaining order, and monitoring activities.

- Supervision of youth in a restrictive detention environment and shelter care facility;

Conduct intake interviews of youth and document youth behaviors and emotional status;

Provides basic care and supervision to youth;

Monitors and assesses the behavioral and emotional characteristics of referred youth and provides additional supervision to prevent self-harm as needed;

Regularly communicates orally, and in writing, any changes to youth, to all members of the youth care facility.
