Aspire Health Partners, Inc. (Aspire), is a non-profit 501(c)3 behavioral healthcare organization. Aspire Health Partners is Florida’s largest Behavioral Health Non-Profit that provides a full continuum of behavioral healthcare services across six (6) Central Florida Counties; Brevard, Hillsborough, Lake, Orange, Osceola and Seminole.
The APRN practices at the highest level of licensure, performing assessments, diagnosing conditions, developing and managing treatment plans, and prescribing medications as appropriate. This role requires advanced clinical expertise, strong independent decision-making, and collaborative leadership within an interdisciplinary care team. As an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) at Aspire Health Partners, your primary responsibility is to provide comprehensive, patient-centered medical care within your scope of practice, which may include psychiatric, substance use, and primary care services, across Aspire programs, including the Mobile Medical Unit. Our APRN also plays a critical role in ensuring high-quality, safe, efficient, and compliant service delivery in both clinic-based and field-based (mobile) environments.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive psychiatric, substance use, and/or medical evaluations, including intake, continued stay, and discharge assessments
- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic medical and behavioral health conditions
- Develop, implement, and manage individualized treatment plans
- Prescribe, adjust, administer, and monitor medications, including controlled substances and MAT protocols, in accordance with regulatory requirements
- Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests, labs, and screenings
- Provide preventative care services, including vaccinations, screenings, and health education
- Monitor and evaluate patient progress, conducting regular follow-ups and adjusting treatment plans as necessary
- Deliver patient and support system education on diagnoses, medications, side effects, and treatment adherence
- Collaborate with nursing and clinical staff to ensure appropriate execution of care plans that align with integrated patient care standards
- Provide clinical oversight and direction to RNs, LPNs, and support staff
- Respond to and manage urgent and crisis clinical situations
- Ensure timely, accurate completion of all documentation within the EHR in accordance with AHP standards, billing requirements, and regulatory compliance
- Serve as the primary medical provider and clinical decision-maker on the mobile medical unit
- Provide on-site assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and prescribing services in a field-based environment
- Collaborate closely with nursing staff to ensure appropriate pre-visit assessments, patient monitoring, and care delivery
- Maintain full accountability for prescribing practices, including controlled substances and MAT medications, ensuring compliance with diversion prevention protocols and associated reporting in accordance with company policy.
- Ensure proper clinical documentation and regulatory compliance specific to mobile service delivery
- Support and guide clinical workflows, ensuring efficient and safe patient care within the mobile setting
- Participate in pre-, during-, and post-deployment activities, as assigned,
- Ensure appropriate use and oversight of all medical and emergency equipment, including AED, oxygen, and NARCAN, as well as compliance with infection control, safety standards, and bio-hazard/sharps disposal within the mobile care environment
- Coordinate with interdisciplinary team members to manage patient flow, engagement, and continuity of care
- Provide consultation and clinical direction during telehealth-enabled visits conducted on the unit
- Respond to real-time clinical and environmental challenges inherent to mobile care delivery
- Support outreach, engagement, and linkage to care for underserved populations in the community
- Collaborate with community partners and host sites to facilitate service delivery
- Support data collection, quality metrics, and program evaluation related to mobile services
- Participate in contingency planning to ensure continuity of care in dynamic field conditions
- Assist in emergency response efforts and mobile unit deployment during community crises when applicable
- Most importantly, all functions must be completed while maintaining high standards of ethical and professional conduct while adhering to agency policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Valid unrestricted APRN license in Florida.

- Acceptable Motor Vehicle Registration driver’s license record in accordance with the underwriting guidelines set by Aspire Insurance Company, as described in the AHP Corporate Transportation Policy 3.9.1
- Master’s degree in nursing or Post MS Certificate from an accredited University/College.
- Board Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP), Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP), or Adult Gerontological Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (AGPC).
- 2 years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner working with substance abuse, mental health, or co-occurring disorders (preferred).
- Excellent clinical assessment, diagnostic, and treatment skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a patient-centered approach.
- Proficient in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems and other relevant healthcare software.
- Active DEA license
