Aviva Senior Living | Remote with Travel
Aviva is growing, and the way we grow matters. We operate across the full senior living spectrum, from active adult communities to memory care, and we do it with a genuine commitment to the wellbeing of the people who call our communities home. Right now, our sales organization has real talent and real potential. What it needs is a leader who can build the infrastructure around that potential, someone who can get into the details with community sales teams, establish consistent processes, and hold the organization accountable to outcomes that actually move occupancy. This is not a role for someone who wants to manage from a distance. It is for someone who understands that strategy only works when it shows up in daily execution.
In the first 90 days, your job is to listen, assess, and build credibility. You will spend time in the communities, get to know the sales teams, understand where the gaps are, and establish clear expectations and communication rhythms that signal to the organization what good looks like.
By the six month mark, you will have implemented a consistent sales process across all communities, built performance scorecards and accountability systems, and created measurable momentum in lead conversion and occupancy growth. You will also have coaching and development frameworks in place so that improvement is ongoing, not episodic.
In the back half of the year, you will be deepening the bench. You will be identifying emerging leaders, building a pipeline of sales talent, and embedding a culture of disciplined execution that does not require you to be present at every moment for things to run well. By the end of year one, we expect a scalable, high performing sales organization that can sustain and build on its results.
The experience that will matter most here:
- At least five years of senior level sales leadership in senior living or a closely adjacent field. You need to understand the emotional and relational dynamics of this industry, not just the business mechanics.
- A proven sales framework you have built, implemented, and refined. We want to know how you think about the fundamentals, prospecting, conversion, pipeline management, and coaching, and we want to see the evidence that your approach works.
- Hands on coaching ability. The communities need a partner, not an overseer. You should be as comfortable walking a sales director through a difficult conversation as you are presenting strategy to the executive team.
- Data fluency. You will use performance data to identify patterns, surface opportunities, and make decisions. The numbers are a tool, not the destination.
- A bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent experience that demonstrates the same depth of thinking.
- An initial conversation with our talent team to understand your background and what you are looking for.
- A deeper conversation focused on your leadership philosophy, your sales framework, and the results you have driven in previous roles.
- A meeting with senior leadership, including the SVP of Operations, to explore alignment on strategy, culture, and expectations.
- For finalists, a practical discussion where you walk us through a challenge you have solved and the approach you took.
The ideal profile sits between two extremes. You are not a regional sales rep looking for a title bump. And you are not a numbers and slides executive who loses touch with the front line. You are someone who has done both, and knows how to move between them depending on what the moment requires.
If you are someone who does your best work when you have real authority and room to think, you will find that here. Aviva gives its leaders the autonomy to decide how problems get solved, while staying relentlessly focused on the outcomes that matter.
You will report to the SVP of Operations and work closely with community leadership teams across our portfolio. Travel will be significant. If you are not energized by the prospect of being present in the communities on a regular basis, this is probably not the right fit.
Base salary commensurate with experience and demonstrated ability to deliver results. Bonus tied directly to outcomes achieved.
If this role resonates with you, we want to hear from you. Here is what the process looks like:
- An initial conversation with our talent team to understand your background and what you are looking for.
- A deeper conversation focused on your leadership philosophy, your sales framework, and the results you have driven in previous roles.
- A meeting with senior leadership, including the SVP of Operations, to explore alignment on strategy, culture, and expectations.
- For finalists, a practical discussion where you walk us through a challenge you have solved and the approach you took.
We move deliberately, because this hire matters. We are not filling a seat. We are building something, and we want the right person at the center of it.
