Required Skills and Experience
- Proven experience diagnosing and repairing mechanical issues on vehicles and equipment
- Education (required for postion)
- Possess an appropriate tool set for the position
- Experience in Electrical, Hydraulic and Diesel Engines; equipment experience preferred but not required
- Welding and fabrication is a plus
- Valid driver’s license is required
- Competent verbal and written English communication abilities
- Physical exertion required. Including, but not limited to, walking, standing, stooping, bending and lifting up to 100 pounds
- Experience performing DOT & BIT inspections; is a plus but not required *will provide training
- Experience with air and hydraulic braking systems
- Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on various types of light - medium duty vehicles and construction equipment in the field
- Provide comprehensive day and vehicle reports to central staff
- Ensure total customer satisfaction prior to leaving job site; communication & cleanliness
- Keep mobile van and shop area clean and hazard free

- Basic computer and internet literacy
