American Traveler is hiring a Labor & Delivery RN for a night shift contract requiring a KY or compact RN license and BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications.

Work in a high-risk Labor & Delivery unit caring for patients before, during, and after childbirth
-
Unit includes 17 private suites, 5 triage/PACU beds, 4 ORs, a 3-bed OB ED, and a specialized antepartum unit for high-risk and postpartum care

Night shift schedule with 3x12-hour shifts (7p-7a)

36 hours per week, 3 days per week

Active, unrestricted RN license (KY or Compact) required

Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and Life-Threatening Dysrhythmia

ADN or ASN required, BSN preferred

No prior experience required, though 3-5 years of nursing experience is preferred

Ability to assess age-specific patient safety issues and implement appropriate safety devices

Provide direct patient care including nursing rounds, assessments, treatments, and care coordination for L&D patients

Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the interprofessional team

Facilitate admission, transfer, and discharge activities, including patient and family education

Delegate and oversee tasks performed by other care team members

Participate in unit-based quality improvement activities such as patient satisfaction, falls prevention, and documentation audits

Promote a positive, healing environment through effective communication and collaboration with the care team
