RT (Respiratory Therapist) Director

Job Summary:
Clovernook is seeking an experienced and motivated Director of Respiratory Therapy to lead our ventilator and respiratory services program within a skilled nursing environment. This leadership role is ideal for a seasoned Respiratory Therapist who is passionate about clinical excellence, team development, and high-quality ventilator care.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide leadership and oversight of the respiratory therapy and ventilator program
Ensure appropriate staffing, scheduling, and coverage for RT services
Oversee ventilator management, trach care, and respiratory treatments
Develop, review, and maintain respiratory therapy policies and procedures
Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations and survey readiness
Serve as a clinical resource and mentor to respiratory therapy staff
Collaborate with nursing leadership and physicians on care planning and clinical outcomes
Participate in admissions, resident assessments, and discharge planning as needed
Monitor quality indicators, incident reports, and performance improvement initiatives
Maintain accurate documentation and departmental records
Support education, training, and competency validation for RT staff
Qualifications:
Active Respiratory Therapist license (RRT preferred) in the state of Ohio
Significant ventilator experience required (SNF, LTACH, ICU, or hospital setting)
Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred
Strong knowledge of ventilator management, trach care, and respiratory protocols
Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills
Experience in skilled nursing or long-term care strongly preferred
