ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
- Prepares electronic medical records prior to patient visits, enters pertinent data at time of visit and acts as the physician resource for patient and electronic medical record utilization.
- Rooms and documents patient visit, adhering to set protocols, adhering to clinic schedule.
- Performs EKG according to physician order.
- Communicates with physician regarding patient voice mails, prescription requests, etc. and answers patient questions in a timely manner.
- Follows up with patients for testing results and ongoing physician orders.
- Documents all patient communications in electronic medical record.
- Maintains records of vital statistics and other pertinent data of patient, such as Coumadin, Holter. Provides back-up coverage for testing departments (CT, Nuclear) for vacations and sick.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

- Knowledge of basic nursing principles and protocols.
- Knowledge of policies and procedures related to infection control, environmental safety and patient confidentiality.
- Knowledge of electronic medical chart reporting/records.

- Skill in appropriate use of universal precautions, safe workplace and confidentiality methods.
- Skill in health information management by appropriately charting patient data using an electronic health record..

Ability to work effectively as team members with physicians and other staff.
- Ability to appropriately interact with patients, families, staff and others.
- Ability to flexibly respond to changing demands.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
RN degree, BSN
Minimum of one year RNexperience; clinical practice experience preferred.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Current state RN licensure. Maintains valid BLS/CPR credentials.
Cares for and treats patients in medical office, as directed by Physician.
Full Time, Monday through Friday from 8:00am-5:00pm, depending on the clinic location. No Nights! No Weekends! No On-call! This position may require travel to various locations.
