Overview
Family owned ALF and Memory Care unit looking for a dedicated, detail oriented caregiver who is not afraid of hard work. Must have geriatric experience and be compassionate and understanding. Must be a team player but also able to work independently, looking for a caregiver with excellent ethical and moral standards who puts their best foot forward all of the time.
Responsibilities
- Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts and manual handling techniques
- Monitor vital signs and observe patient conditions to report changes promptly to nursing staff
- Support infection control practices through aseptic techniques and proper hand hygiene procedures
- Provide specialized care for patients with Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, or memory impairments, ensuring their safety and comfort
- Document patient information accurately while adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy
- Collaborate with fellow team members, facility nurses and administration to ensure health and wellbeing of clients.
- Engage in ongoing training as required by the VA DSS.
Experience
- Prior experience working in assisted living and/or memory care facilities.
- Demonstrated proficiency with EMR/EHR systems such as Cerner or eClinicalWorks for accurate documentation
- Experience caring for geriatric patients , including those requiring Alzheimer’s or dementia-specific care
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and aseptic techniques essential for delivering safe patient care
- Certification in CPR/BLS required; training provided.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining proper body mechanics during patient transfers and manual handling tasks

Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
