Job Summary:
HL Uriman Inc. supplies tire/wheel assemblies to an OEM. As part of the HL Group, we strive for 100% customer satisfaction through excellence in quality and service. The Quality Engineer is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining quality systems, leading root cause analysis for complex issues, and ensuring compliance with OEM standards.
Key Responsibilities:
§ Develop and maintain quality control plans, inspection standards, and work instructions.
§ Lead cross-functional teams in technical root cause analysis and implement permanent
corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
§ Manage supplier quality performance and coordinate with suppliers to resolve defective material issues.
§ Analyze production data using Statistical Process Control (SPC) and other methodologies
to identify trends and drive continuous improvement.
§ Serve as the primary quality contact for OEM customers regarding quality concerns and
audits.
§ Oversee internal process audits and facilitate compliance with customer requirements.
§ Provide technical guidance and training to Quality Technicians and Inspectors.
§ Participate in APQP/PPAP processes for new product launches or engineering changes.
Qualifications:
§ Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, or related field).
§ 3+ years of quality engineering experience, preferably in the automotive industry.
§ In-depth knowledge of automotive quality standards (e.g., IATF 16949 and core tools).
§ Proven ability to perform technical root cause analysis and drive continuous improvement
projects.
§ Excellent communication skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced
environment.
§ Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint).
Preferred Experience/Skills:
§ Bilingual skills (English/Korean).
§ Experience with tire/wheel assembly processes.
§ Experience in Equipment Engineering or Manufacturing/Production Engineering.
§ Hands-on experience in developing and authoring PFMEA and Control Plans.
Physical Requirements:
§ Ability to work in a manufacturing environment and stand for extended periods during
audits or investigations.
§ Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally.
§ Excellent vision (corrected or uncorrected) and color perception.
