Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and sanitizing surfaces to ensure a spotless environment.
- Handle chemical agents safely, following all safety data sheets (SDS) and proper handling procedures to maintain a safe workspace.
- Conduct floor care activities such as mopping, buffing, and carpet cleaning to uphold cleanliness standards across all areas.
- Manage janitorial supplies inventory and ensure all cleaning equipment is maintained in excellent condition for optimal performance.
- Follow hotel emergency procedures diligently, including evacuation protocols and safety measures during incidents or hazardous situations.
- Assist with heavy lifting tasks related to moving furniture or cleaning equipment, adhering to manual handling safety guidelines.
- Support hotel housekeeping management by reporting maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly to ensure continuous operational excellence.
Experience
- Proven experience in hotel housekeeping or custodial roles with a strong understanding of cleaning techniques and industry standards.
- Familiarity with industrial cleaning equipment and methods used in hospitality settings.
- Knowledge of hotel emergency procedures and safety protocols, including the use of safety data sheets (SDS).
- Demonstrated ability to handle chemical agents responsibly while maintaining a safe environment for yourself and colleagues.
- Experience with hotel housekeeping management or supervisory roles is a plus but not required.
- Prior janitorial or custodial experience in hospitality or commercial settings will enhance your effectiveness in this role.
