We are seeking an experienced Operations Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for creating and maintaining a safe, organized, disciplined, and efficient workplace while supervising production personnel and coordinating facility operations.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on manufacturing leader with exceptional organizational, communication, and time management skills. This individual must be capable of establishing structure, enforcing procedures, maintaining accountability, and earning the respect of the production team through professionalism, consistency, and leadership.
Primary Responsibilities
Operations & Personnel Management
- Supervise the day-to-day activities of production personnel.
- Assign daily work and ensure tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
- Maintain discipline, accountability, and adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Coach employees, address performance issues, and foster a positive and productive work environment.
- Establish and maintain consistent operating procedures and workplace standards.
Facility Management
- Ensure the manufacturing facility remains clean, organized, and operating efficiently.
- Coordinate movement and storage of raw materials and finished goods.
- Maintain accurate material labeling, inventory locations, and warehouse organization.
- Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments.
- Perform routine facility inspections, including equipment, utility, and water leak checks.
- Open and close the facility as required.
Maintenance & Vendor Coordination
- Coordinate preventive maintenance activities and facility repairs.
- Serve as the primary contact for landlords, contractors, equipment service providers, and maintenance vendors.
- Coordinate purchases of tools, maintenance supplies, PPE, and facility consumables.
- Travel locally as needed to purchase or pick up materials and equipment.
Safety & Compliance
- Maintain OSHA, SDS, fire safety, and required compliance documentation.
- Coordinate safety meetings and ensure corrective actions are completed.
- Promote a strong culture of workplace safety and continuous improvement.
Reporting & Data Management
- Effectively communicate production, maintenance, inventory, and facility issues to management in a timely and professional manner.
- Maintain accurate inventory levels, tool inventories, and operational records within the company's software systems.
- Organize and maintain electronic records, including certifications, maintenance logs, safety documentation, reports, and other operational files.
- Prepare and maintain reports, spreadsheets, and operational documentation to support daily manufacturing activities.
Qualifications
- Minimum of five years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude to learn our machinery, processes, and have and the ability to coordinate maintenance activities.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams, enforce standards, and hold employees accountable.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills.
- Strong computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and the ability to learn manufacturing software systems.
- Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities while maintaining attention to detail.
- Experience working with outside vendors and service contractors.
Pay: $30.00 - $34.00 per hour
