Position: Housekeeping including laundry and guest service
The Gather Company is on the lookout for an exceptional Housekeeper to join our amazing team at our charming, historic Bed & Breakfast in the heart of beautiful downtown St. Augustine.
Working in hospitality at our Bed & Breakfast is all about creating a home-away-from-home for every guest who walks through the door. At our historic, award-winning Bed & Breakfast with twenty-three enchanting rooms, you’ll be part of a team that takes pride in every detail.
What You’ll Do
At The Gather Company, every role supports the guest experience. As a Housekeeper, you’ll help bring our mission of thoughtful hospitality to life by:
- Demonstrating exceptional teamwork by supporting the daily operation
- Perform daily cleaning of guest rooms, including dusting, vacuuming, and sanitizing surfaces.
- Manage laundry services, ensuring linens and towels are clean and well-maintained.
- Restock supplies in guest rooms and common areas as needed.
- Assist in maintaining the overall cleanliness of the bed and breakfast facilities including exterior groundskeeping as requested
- Respond promptly to guest requests for additional services or supplies.
- Collaborate with other staff members to ensure a seamless guest experience.
- Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies and report needs to management.
- Additional opportunities available to advance with server and innkeeper duties.
Preferred Background & Experience
While we welcome applicants from all backgrounds, our ideal candidate brings:
- Proven experience in housekeeping or custodial roles, preferably in a hospitality settings.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to cleanliness and sanitation standards.
- Excellent customer service skills to interact positively with guests.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Familiarity with commercial cleaning practices is a plus.
- Basic cooking skills are beneficial but not required.
