Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and specialty drinks with precision and flair
- Greet customers warmly, taking orders accurately and efficiently using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Handle cash transactions, process payments, and manage cash handling responsibilities with integrity
- Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards in food preparation and serving areas
- Assist with food handling, basic food preparation, and ensuring quality standards are met at all times
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers promptly while balancing multiple tasks
- Support the café team by restocking supplies, cleaning workstations, and adhering to food safety protocols
Requirements
- Previous barista experience or strong background in coffee service and food handling
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is highly preferred
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently in a dynamic environment
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and accurate order processing
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food preparation techniques
- Ability to stand for extended periods, walk comfortably around the café area, and lift moderate loads as needed
- Experience in the food industry or retail math is advantageous but not mandatory
