Caregivers provide services and companionship to help youths dealing with trauma, behavioral issues to feel more at home and improve their living environment. They will work in a setting that includes group homes and day service programs. Caregivers' responsibilities can include:
- Personal care Assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs) like, dressing, grooming, toileting, and transportation. Caregivers should ensure the safety, privacy, and dignity of their clients.
- Transportation Taking clients to appointments, the grocery store, and other important places.
- Medication management, Reviewing and administering medication according to a patient's care plan and company policies.
- Meal preparation and making food easily accessible. Caregivers may also support with feeding and hydration.
- Housekeeping, Keeping the facility clean and assisting laundry when needed.
- Socialization Encouraging clients to participate in community activities and social gatherings.
- Communication Communicating with medical professionals about the patient care plan and reminding clients of appointments and events.
EDUCATION:
Applicant must have High School Diploma or G.E.D.
REQUIREMENTS:
Application must 21 years old
Must have access to transportation
Applicant must pass background check and fingerprints.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $13.04 - $16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 24 – 40 per week
