Title: Maintenance / Porter
Reports To: Operations Manager / Executive Chef
Job Summary
Join Palmer's dynamic team ensuring impeccable cleanliness and organization within our bustling kitchen environment. Your role involves efficiently cleaning the facilities including restrooms, offices, conference room, break room, and other commonly used areas. You will collaborate closely with the Operations Team to streamline schedules of maintenance in addition to supporting the team with major deliveries to our Market. Key Responsibilities:
Cleaning & Sanitation
- Maintain cleanliness of the commissary kitchen in accordance with company food safety and sanitation standards
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, conference rooms, offices, and common areas
- Empty trash and recycling receptacles throughout the facility
- Sweep, mop, scrub, and maintain floors
- Clean windows, walls, doors, and high-touch surfaces
- Restock restroom and break room supplies
- Follow all safety and chemical handling procedures
Facilities & Maintenance
- Conduct routine inspections of the facility to identify maintenance needs
- Perform basic repairs and maintenance tasks as assigned
- Report larger repair issues or equipment concerns to management promptly
- Ensure cleaning equipment is maintained and stored properly
- Support compliance with health, safety, and regulatory standards
Operational Support
- Assist the receiving team as needed, including:
- Helping unload deliveries.
- Moving product within the facility.
- Maintaining organization and cleanliness in receiving areas.
- Provide additional support to commissary leadership as directed
Requirements
- Previous cleaning, janitorial, or facilities experience preferred.
- Ability to follow sanitation and food safety standards.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced food production environment.
- Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently.
- Flexible and willing to assist other teams when needed.

Joining as a Maintenance/Operations Crew, you will have the opportunity to grow and explore other roles in which you are interested at Palmer’s. Cross training, and specialized experience will be possible over time as we learn more about your skills and interests! Ability to communicate in English and Spanish is a plus.
