Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Route Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering goods to various locations while ensuring exceptional customer service. This role requires a strong commitment to safety and efficiency, as well as the ability to handle heavy lifting and navigate routes effectively.
Responsibilities
- Operate a box truck or similar vehicle for deliveries to designated locations.
- Load and unload products safely and efficiently, utilizing equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks when necessary.
- Follow assigned routes and schedules, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Provide excellent customer service by interacting positively with clients during deliveries.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including any discrepancies or issues encountered along the route.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safe operation.
- Assist in warehouse duties as needed, including inventory management and organization of products.
Skills
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
- Previous warehouse experience is preferred, including familiarity with loading and unloading procedures.
- Valid driving license with experience driving box trucks or similar vehicles.
- Proven delivery driver experience with a focus on route driving efficiency.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and moving of products, ensuring safety protocols are followed.
- Experience operating forklifts and pallet jacks is a plus.
