About FSI
Fabrication Specialties, Inc. is an ISO-certified custom fabricator of thermal and acoustical insulation, foam, gasketing, and other nonmetallic materials. Our fabrication floor runs die cutting, waterjet cutting, slitting, sawing, routing, and more to deliver precise, custom solutions for industrial, HVAC, construction, and transportation customers. We're looking for a hands-on 2nd Shift Supervisor to lead our evening production team.
Position Summary
The 2nd Shift Supervisor directs fabrication and production operations during the evening shift. This role keeps the shift on schedule, maintains FSI's quality standards, leads and develops the production team, and ensures a safe, organized floor from start of shift through handoff.
Key Responsibilities
· Supervise 2nd shift production and fabrication operations, ensuring daily order and output targets are met
· Direct and support operators running die cutting, waterjet, slitting, sawing, routing, and related equipment
· Assign work, manage shift staffing, and adjust priorities to meet customer ship dates
· Monitor quality throughout the shift and maintain compliance with FSI's ISO procedures
· Train, coach, and develop team members; address performance and attendance issues
· Enforce safety policies and maintain a clean, orderly, OSHA-compliant work area
· Track production, material usage, and downtime; report shift results to management
· Coordinate handoffs with 1st shift and communicate open items clearly
· Troubleshoot production and equipment issues, escalating as needed
Qualifications
· 7+ years of manufacturing or production experience, including 5 years supervising or leading a team
· Familiarity with fabrication, machine operation, or cutting equipment a strong plus
· Solid understanding of production scheduling, quality standards, and workplace safety
· Able to lead a team, solve problems on the floor, and communicate across shifts
· Comfortable with basic computer systems for production tracking and reporting
· High school diploma or equivalent
Physical Requirements
· Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand, walk, and move throughout the production floor for the full shift
· Work in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures and exposure to fabrication materials (PPE provided)
Pay: $22.00 - $28.00 per hour
