Job Overview
The Junior Production Planner/Purchaser is responsible for planning and general purchasing duties in a manufacturing company . The individual will assure that all resources are available for production in accordance with the requirements of the Master Plan.
Responsibilities include:
- Develop a rolling weekly/monthly/quarterly production plan based on the execution of the master plan
- Summarize all purchased shortages for the master plan
- Coordinate with purchasing to assure materials are in house in time to meet the production schedule
- Assessing availability of parts
- Handling RMA’s (receiving transaction processing) from customers and handling RMA material return to suppliers.
- Procuring floor-stock material – hardware, connectors, wire, etc.
- Quoting and placing orders per purchase requests
- Communicate with production groups to ensure tasks are being completed as per the schedule
- Create new items in the ERP system
Education/Experience:
- 2 years of experience in a Planning position or Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field
- Experience with ERP systems
- Must have good teamwork skills
- Experience in Manufacturing preferred
- Proficient in creating and maintaining advanced Excel spreadsheets
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
