Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Grill Cook/ Joseper Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with experience in fine dining and menu planning. As a Grill Cook / Josper Cook , you will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals while adhering to food safety standards and maintaining a clean kitchen environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook grilled items to perfection, ensuring consistency and quality in every dish.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to develop and execute menu items that meet customer expectations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the grill station and surrounding areas.
- Follow food safety guidelines and ensure proper food handling techniques are practiced at all times.
- Assist in meal preparation, including chopping, marinating, and seasoning ingredients as needed.
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and communicate needs to management for ordering supplies.
- Participate in catering events as required, ensuring timely delivery of meals to clients.
- Provide exceptional service by plating dishes attractively and ensuring timely service to guests.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Grill Cook / Josper Cook or similar role in the food industry, preferably within a restaurant or fine dining setting.
- Strong culinary skills with knowledge of cooking techniques, particularly grilling methods.
- Familiarity with dietary department practices and dietary aide experience is a plus.
- Ability to plan menus that cater to diverse dietary needs while maintaining flavor and presentation standards.
- Excellent knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation techniques.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices for food handling.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
