Adept Corporation in York, PA is hiring!!
We have TWO openings : 1 Dayshift and 1 Nightshift.
Final inspection for quality, appearance, and performance of diversified parts and assemblies and performance of complicated products equipment. Plan inspection procedures and develop inspection devices, devise unusual measuring or gauging setups. Responsible for decisions as to appearances/performances, deviations from standard specifications or allowable tolerances, acceptance, or rejections. May apply broad knowledge of product application in exercising responsibility to decide on allowable variations from specification or standards; determine reasons for defects.
Key Responsibilities:
- · Perform consistent quality inspections and testing to ensure conformance with company specifications, drawings, and applicable standards.
- · Monitor all stages of production to identify and prevent product defects.
- · Identify, document, and remove non‑conforming products from production or finished goods.
- · Approve acceptable finished products for shipment.
- · Recommend and support corrective and preventive actions to resolve quality issues.
- · Maintain complete and accurate inspection records and documentation for audit purposes.
- · Participate in internal audits, calibrations, and quality system activities.
- · Verify measuring and test equipment is functioning properly; report equipment issues and request repairs or calibration as needed.
- · Work closely with Production and Engineering to ensure only quality‑approved products are manufactured.
- · Recommend improvements to existing quality and production standards within equipment and process capabilities.
- · Comply with all company policies, procedures, and work instructions.
- · Complete other tasks assigned by the supervisor.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, work instructions, and specifications.
- · Proficient in the use of measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other inspection equipment.
- · Working knowledge of manufacturing methods, processes, and quality control practices.
- · Familiarity with quality standards, inspection methods, and basic statistical techniques.
- · Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
- · Effective verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain quality requirements.
- · Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- · Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making skills.
- · Ability to follow written, verbal, and diagrammatic instructions.
Safety:
- · Adheres to safety requirements when operating tools and equipment.
- · Ensures safety functions on equipment are operating properly.
- · Handles material in a safe and appropriate manner.
- · Reports any defects or safety issues immediately.
Dayshift
- Monday-Thursday, 8am-6pm. F - hours can very.
Nightshift
- Sunday, 12am-6am, Monday-Thursday, 6pm-6am.
