Remote Family Law Paralegal (Florida Residents Only)
Location: Remote (Must Reside in Florida)
Employment Type: Full-Time
Compensation: Competitive salary based on experience and qualifications. Salary will reflect the candidate's level of Florida family law experience and whether they possess a paralegal certificate.
About the Position
We are seeking an experienced, highly organized, and detail-oriented Family Law Paralegal to join our growing Florida family law practice. This is a fully remote position for someone who thrives in a fast-paced litigation environment and takes pride in producing high-quality work with minimal supervision.
The ideal candidate has substantial experience handling Florida divorce and family law matters from inception through trial preparation, possesses excellent drafting skills, and can effectively prioritize deadlines while providing outstanding support to their assigned attorney.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and draft discovery requests and responses.
- Draft pleadings, motions, notices, affidavits, financial documents, and other family law filings.
- Manage attorney calendars and monitor all court deadlines.
- Maintain case files and ensure deadlines are met.
- Answer and screen telephone calls for the assigned attorney.
- Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
- Assist with trial preparation, mediation preparation, and hearing notebooks.
- File documents electronically with Florida courts.
- Maintain accurate case management records and document organization.
- Perform additional litigation support duties as assigned.
- Monday through Friday 8:30am- 5:30 pm.
- Consistently acheive weekly required hours
Qualifications
Required:
- Minimum of 2 years of Florida family law (divorce) paralegal experience.
- Must reside in the State of Florida.
- Strong working knowledge of Florida family law procedures and litigation.
- Excellent drafting and proofreading skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to work efficiently in a deadline-driven environment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal case management software.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
Preferred:
- Florida Registered Paralegal (FRP) designation or paralegal certificate.
- Experience with Florida e-Filing Portal.
- Trial preparation experience.
