Position Summary
The Seasonal Event Operations Coordinator works directly with the Race Director and event leadership team to assist in planning, coordinating, and executing endurance sporting events throughout Ohio.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys event planning, thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes initiative, and is passionate about delivering well-organized events.
Primary Responsibilities
- Assist with planning and execution of multiple endurance sporting events throughout Ohio.
- Coordinate race-day logistics before, during, and after events.
- Support athlete check-in and participant services.
- Coordinate volunteers, vendors, and venue partners.
- Assist with event setup, teardown, and operational logistics.
- Organize equipment, signage, supplies, and event materials.
- Maintain event planning documents, timelines, and checklists.
- Assist with administrative and planning projects during the off-season.
- Identify opportunities to improve event operations and efficiency.
- Perform other event-related duties as assigned.
QualificationsPreferred Qualifications
- Experience participating in, volunteering at, or working triathlons, running races, cycling events, or other endurance sporting events.
- Previous experience coordinating sporting events, festivals, community events, hospitality, parks & recreation, or similar activities.
- Passion for endurance sports and helping others achieve their goals.

Requirements
- Candidates based in Central Ohio (Columbus metropolitan area) are preferred; however, qualified applicants throughout Ohio are encouraged to apply.
- Must have reliable transportation and be willing to travel throughout Ohio for events.
- Must be available to work weekends during race season.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Pay: $25.00 - $40.00 per hour
