In this role, you will design and implement engaging programs that foster growth, learning, and positive behavior among young participants. You will serve as a mentor and guide, creating a safe, inclusive environment that promotes childhood development, teamwork, and personal achievement. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the community while developing your skills in education, childcare, and youth engagement. Responsibilities
- Plan and facilitate educational and recreational activities tailored to the developmental needs of children and adolescents
- Manage classroom environments to ensure safety, discipline, and positive behavior management
- Provide first aid when necessary and respond effectively to emergencies following established protocols
- Support children with special education needs by adapting activities and providing individualized assistance
- Incorporate elements of Christian counseling or values-based guidance to promote character development
- Coordinate sports coaching, theater productions, or other extracurricular programs to enhance skill-building and teamwork
- Maintain detailed records of participant progress, attendance, and behavioral incidents
- Foster strong relationships with children, parents, and community partners to support ongoing development
Experience
- Prior experience working with children or youth in educational settings such as daycare, camp, tutoring, or childcare environments
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and behavior management techniques
- Experience in classroom management and implementing engaging instructional strategies
- Certifications in first aid and CPR are highly preferred
- Background in special education or working with children with diverse needs is a plus
- Demonstrated ability to create inclusive environments that support early childhood education and personal growth
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members, parents, and community stakeholders
