Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid certification or license as a School Psychologist in the state
- Familiarity with psychoeducational assessment tools and methods
- Previous experience in school settings preferred
- Thorough understanding of IDEA, FERPA, and state special education guidelines
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with educators, families, and service providers
Core Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations and reevaluations for students receiving special education services
- Review student records, external reports, and developmental histories to inform assessment and planning
- Administer, score, and interpret assessments covering cognitive, psychological, behavioral, social-emotional, academic, and adaptive domains
- Gather data through classroom observations and interviews with teachers, caregivers, and related professionals
- Contribute expertise to eligibility determination and IEP meetings as an engaged participant
- Collaborate closely with teachers, therapists, and administrators to support data-driven decisions and student success
- Ensure all documentation, psychological reports, and compliance activities are completed accurately and within required deadlines
