Job Summary

Duties
- Greet customers warmly and provide outstanding customer service throughout their visit
- Prepare non-alcoholic beverages such as coffee, tea, smoothies, and specialty drinks using proper techniques and equipment
- Operate POS systems including Toast POS to process sales accurately and efficiently
- Handle cash transactions, process payments, and give correct change while maintaining accuracy in cash handling
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, dining areas, and equipment by following food safety standards and cleaning protocols
- Assist with food handling and food preparation tasks to ensure quality and safety standards are met
- Restock supplies, monitor inventory levels, and organize products for quick access during busy periods
- Serve food and beverages promptly while ensuring presentation meets quality expectations
- Follow all food safety guidelines related to food handling, storage, and sanitation practices
- Support team members during peak hours by multitasking between customer service, beverage prep, and cleaning duties
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or café environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is key!
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Toast POS is advantageous
- Experience with coffee making or barista skills will be highly valued
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and positively with guests
- Basic math skills for processing cash transactions accurately
- Knowledge of food safety procedures and proper food handling techniques
- Ability to manage time effectively during busy periods while maintaining attention to detail
- Experience in retail sales transactions or cashiering roles is a plus
Physical requirements:
- Ability to stand and move throughout the shift
- Frequent reaching, bending, and light cleaning
- Ability to lift and carry up to approximately 30 pounds
- Ability to work around hot equipment and in cooler or freezer areas
