DESCRIPTION OF WORK
This position provides hands-on nursing care to support the health needs of individuals living at SCI Greene. It includes direct patient care, medication administration, and active participation in daily health routines. As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you will perform the following duties:

- Vital Signs Monitoring: Check and record vital signs and observe physical and emotional behaviors
- Medication Administration: Prepare and deliver prescribed medications and document all treatments
- Direct Patient Support: Assist individuals with daily living tasks and provide basic physical care
- Emergency Response: Provide first aid, CPR, or AED support during urgent medical situations
- Health Education: Offer guidance and routine instruction to help patients understand health needs

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment, 40 hour work week.
- The Department of Corrections is staffed by three (3) work shifts that cover the facility 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
- Work hours are 2:00PM - 10:30PM, Days off TBD.
- Rotating days off, weekends, and holidays.
- This position is eligible for full retirement benefits at age 50 or 55.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $67,558.00 (before taxes).

QUALIFICATIONS
Necessary Special Requirements:
- This position requires active authorization to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse in Pennsylvania.
- All employees possessing an active temporary practice permit must obtain licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse within the one (1) year period defined by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing.
